Data poverty and devices

We can’t assume people with the internet and an old device know how to use them. Even when people have access to these things, they may not have the skills to enable them to access vital services and support.

Featured projects

National Databank

Like a foodbank but for mobile data, the National Databank provides free mobile SIM cards to help digitally excluded people get connected.

Digital Lifeline

Digital Lifeline was an emergency response project getting devices, data and digital skills support to digitally excluded people with learning disabilities in England. It was funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) and delivered by Good Things Foundation with 150 partners across England.

Everyone Connected

In this new socially distanced world Good Things Foundation is coordinating action through a new initiative called Everyone Connected (formerly DevicesDotNow), targeting digitally excluded households without access to the internet.

National Device Bank

The secure, sustainable and socially responsible solution for corporate IT asset disposal. Don’t dispose, donate your company's unused tech to the National Device Bank and help digitally excluded people get online.
