The Salvation Army is an organisation with a history of employability support in Edinburgh. Funding has been awarded to enhance their current employability support offer.

The Edinburgh Employment Digital Support project was established with a grant from Power Up in March 2020 alongside the first UK Covid-19 lockdown where the need for digital skills provision and inclusion became even more apparent. With the funding, the Salvation Army remodelled the service to deliver remote digital support during COVID-19 restrictions. Throughout the funding period, the service was adapted in line with changing government guidance and supported over 240 people.

With the funding from Power Up 2.0 in February 2022, the Salvation Army plans to scale up the Edinburgh Employment Digital Support service project across its two other Edinburgh based community organisations.
